Arsenal want Gokhan Tore and Oguzhan Ozyakup

Can Oguzhan Ozyakup, left, and Gokhan Tore, right, help Arsenal win its first Premier League title since 2004?
The transfer window might be closed, but the rumours keep ticking. As always, Transfer Talk has the latest and greatest
It appears as if Arsenal's stunning 3-0 win over Manchester United might have stoked an internal fire within Arsene Wenger to finally purchase some outfield players in January. The manager has reportedly sent scouts to watch two Besiktas midfielders in Gokhan Tore, according to the Express, and Oguzhan Ozyakup, based on a report from Football Turkey
The Gunners were heavily criticised for being the only club in Europe's top five leagues not to sign an outfield player during the summer, but their recent success might have changed things.
Despite Arsenal's well-known struggles in the Champions League, the team is sitting an impressive second in the Premier League, with 16 points. With the Premier League so unpredictable (several giants are struggling), Wenger and his squad might have a legitimate chance to win the title this season. Interestingly enough, both Tore and Ozyakup started their careers in England.

After Arsenal's resounding 3-0 win over Manchester United, the question is whether they can maintain that level over the course of a season.

Tore is a Chelsea youth academy product, and surprisingly, Ozyakup began his career at Arsenal. According to Whoscored.com, Ozyakup has been transitioned into a defensive midfielder this season and has four assists and one goal, which might help Arsenal, despite the player's not being very strong defensively in the midfield. Attacking midfielder Tore has five assists and one goal. The Express lists Tore's pricetag at £15 million, and Ozyakup is rated the same number by Football Turkey.
