Hebrews 10:38; 11:1, 4, 6
Faith, the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen. Implying that faith is not abstract, but a reality, that which
is substantial. To come into relationship with God we come on the wings of
faith (Eph. 2:3). It is by the same faith we live.
(Heb. 10:38). We do not only
live by faith but we serve Him by faith. Indeed, whatever is not of faith is
sin( Rom. 14:23) No wonder the devil had an eye on the faith of Peter (Luke
22:31-32) and the Lord, knowing that the death of our faith is like clipping
the wings of a bird, interceded that Peter’s faith of Abel that put life in his
service and sacrifice making it acceptable to man and to God. Without faith it
is impossible to please Him, for He that cometh to God must believe that He is
and is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
